S/M with 19" × 25" sleep surface:
Best for cats and dogs up to about 40 lbs. Ideal for small- to medium-size breeds and pets that like to curl up or nest.
L/XL with 24" × 29" sleep surface:
Best for dogs over 40 lbs. A better fit for medium- to large-sized breeds or pets that like to stretch out and move around.
If your pet is between sizes, choosing the larger option usually gives them more flexibility to move and stretch out.

No. The bottom features a non-slip backing that helps keep the bed in place, even on smooth surfaces like hardwood or tile.
