What is a hybrid mattress?
A hybrid mattress combines layers of foam with a layer of springs. The springs add bounce, airflow, and edge support, while the foam layers add pressure relief, spinal alignment, and motion isolation. Because air can move through the springs, hybrids tend to sleep cooler than all-foam mattresses.

What level of edge support does this mattress offer?
All Leesa Chill™ mattresses are constructed with higher gauge springs on the sides that deliver more sleep surface and make getting in and out of bed easier.
Are Leesa mattresses fiberglass free?
Yes. Every Leesa mattress is made without fiberglass, in a fiberglass-free factory. Instead, they’re crafted with fire-retardant yarn and a rayon barrier. This rayon fiber, derived from 100% regenerated cellulose, creates a protective layer for both safety and comfort.
Are Leesa mattresses made from safe materials?
Yes. Every Leesa mattress is GREENGUARD Gold certified, made with CertiPUR-US® certified foams, and built without fiberglass in a fiberglass-free factory.
To earn GREENGUARD goldopens in new window certification, Leesa mattresses go through rigorous testing for emissions of more than 360 volatile organic compounds (VOCs). The certification means they meet strict limits on chemical emissions.
The foams are also CertiPUR-US®opens in new window certified, meaning they’re made without ozone depleters, PBDE flame retardants, heavy metals, formaldehyde, and certain phthalates. They also have low VOC emissions for better indoor air quality.

How is GreenFlex Foam different from other plant-based foams?
Most bio-foams start with food-crop oils that must be chemically converted into polyols—an energy-intensive process that uses only a fraction of the plant’s oil. GreenFlex Foam uses non-food crops grown on marginal land whose oil is a natural polyol, usable with no chemical conversion—putting roughly three times more of the plant’s oil to use. How does GreenFlex Foam feel?
GreenFlex Foam has the same responsive, contouring feel as the foam it replaced. Its open-cell, plant-derived* structure makes it slightly more breathable than conventional memory foam, which helps regulate temperature across the night.
